Oinky is a budgeting app. To work, it needs to handle financial information you enter — so we want to be completely clear about what we collect, where it goes, and who can see it.
We never sell your data, never connect to your bank, and never share your financial details for advertising. The list of third parties below is the complete list.
Oinky is operated by:
Noe Bissig (EonasApps)
Bahnhofstrasse 25
6460 Altdorf
Switzerland
Contact: eonasapps@gmail.com
For the purposes of the EU/UK GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), Noe Bissig is the data controller for personal data processed through Oinky.
Oinky collects the following data when you create an account and use the app:
Oinky does not connect to your bank, card, or any financial institution. We never see your bank login, card numbers, or account balances. You decide exactly what to enter.
Oinky's headline feature is turning a quick phrase into a structured transaction. To do this, the text you enter (your raw input) is sent securely to our backend, which uses an AI model provided by Anthropic (Claude) to extract the amount, category, merchant, note, and date.
The AI receives only the short piece of text needed for that single entry — not your account email, your name, or your transaction history. The request is processed to return the structured result and is not used to train AI models. The AI provider's API key is held only on our server and is never stored in the app.
In short: your typed or spoken text leaves your device to be understood by AI, so it can be sorted for you. Everything else about how your data is handled is described below.
We process your data on the following legal bases (GDPR Art. 6):
Your transactions are kept on your device (using Apple's on-device database) and are also synced to your private, account-protected storage in the cloud so they are backed up and available if you reinstall or change devices. Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Your financial data is tied to your account and is only accessible to you.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your associated personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days (see Section 8).
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising. To run the app, we rely on the following service providers, each acting as a data processor under a data processing agreement. This is the complete list:
Stores your account data, transactions, and display name, and handles sign-in (email, Apple, Google) and the account-related emails it sends, such as confirmation and password-reset messages. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Supabase Privacy Policy →Receives the short text of an entry you create in order to return a structured transaction (amount, category, merchant, note, date). It does not receive your name, email, or transaction history, and the data is not used to train models.
Anthropic Privacy Policy →Verifies and manages your Oinky Pro subscription. It receives an anonymous app user ID and your store purchase receipt — not your name, email, or financial data.
RevenueCat Privacy Policy →Decides when and which subscription offer to show you and records anonymous paywall interaction data. Actual purchases are handled by RevenueCat and the App Store. It does not receive your transaction data.
Superwall Privacy Policy →Collects anonymised usage events to help us understand and improve the app. Events are stored on EU servers and may be linked to your account identifier (and, where available, email) to recognise returning users. PostHog does not receive your transaction amounts, notes, or financial details.
PostHog Privacy Policy →If you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider authenticates you. All payments are processed directly by Apple under its terms; we never see or store your payment card details.
Apple Privacy Policy → · Google Privacy Policy →If you are located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at eonasapps@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by emailing eonasapps@gmail.com from your account email address. Once we verify the request, your account data, transactions, and profile are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. Signing out of the app also removes the locally stored copy of your data from that device.
Oinky is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Some of our sub-processors (for example Supabase, Anthropic, RevenueCat, and Superwall) may process data on servers located outside Switzerland or the EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, in accordance with the GDPR and the Swiss nFADP.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of Oinky after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
For any privacy-related questions, contact us at eonasapps@gmail.com.
If you are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch, or with your local supervisory authority in the EEA/UK.
