Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026  ·  Applies to: CareLoop (iOS & Android)

CareLoop stores all your household appliance data locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your appliance data to our servers — there is no backend and no account required.

1. Who We Are

EonasApps is operated by:

Contact: eonasapps@gmail.com

2. What Data We Collect

CareLoop is designed with privacy by default. We operate no backend infrastructure and do not require an account to use the app.

Appliance Data

The household appliances you add, along with maintenance schedules, service history, and reminders, are stored entirely on your device. This data is never uploaded to our servers or any third-party server.

Purchase Data

If you purchase the premium unlock, the transaction is processed entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to verify your purchase status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipt — it does not receive your name, email, or any appliance data.

Analytics Data

We use PostHog to collect anonymized analytics events (e.g. which screens are visited, which features are used) to help us understand how the app is used and improve it. These events are associated with an anonymous identifier only and do not include your appliance data, name, or email.

Technical Data

The App Store or Google Play may collect anonymised crash reports and basic usage analytics, subject to your device's privacy settings. We do not directly access or control this data. See Apple's Privacy Policy or Google's Privacy Policy for details.

3. Why We Collect This Data

Purchase verification via RevenueCat is necessary to provide the premium features you paid for (contract performance, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Analytics via PostHog are processed based on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the app (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Third-Party Sub-Processors

We do not sell any data. The following third parties are involved:

RevenueCat (purchase verification)

RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) verifies your in-app purchase receipt to unlock premium features. It receives only an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt data. It does not receive your name, email, or any appliance data.

PostHog (analytics)

We use PostHog to collect anonymized analytics events within the app. PostHog does not receive your name, email, or appliance data. Events are associated with an anonymous identifier only.

Apple App Store / Google Play (payments)

All payment transactions are processed directly by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies. We do not handle or store your payment card details.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you have the following rights:

Because we collect virtually no personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by default. For any questions, contact us at eonasapps@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

CareLoop does not knowingly collect personal data from any users, including children under 13. The app is safe for general audiences.

7. Data Retention

We retain no personal data on our servers, as none exists — appliance data lives only on your device and is deleted if you delete the app. Purchase records held by RevenueCat and the app stores are subject to their respective retention policies.

8. International Transfers

Purchase verification data processed by RevenueCat and analytics data processed by PostHog may be stored on servers outside Switzerland or the EEA. Appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable data protection law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact & Complaints

For any privacy-related questions, contact us at:
eonasapps@gmail.com

If you are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch.
